Our Team

Aniq Zafar, Chief Executive Officer

Aniq Zafar comes from a background in journalism as a correspondent for Pakistan Times from 1993-95. In 1996 he started Communications Research Strategies. Mr. Aniq is a graduate of the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad from the 1988-1990 class. He has been now in the communication consulting business for nearly two decades.

Aniq oversees the strategic direction of the company, and leverages his considerable experience in media to drive the tactical, solution-oriented philosophy that resides at the core of CRS. Be it government relations or policy shifts, Aniq is instrumental in getting unprecedented results that exceed expectations, and defy convention.

 

KhawarAzhar, Chief Operating Officer

Khawar Azhar is a veteran advertising and marketing professional with over 20 years of strategic communications experience. He excels at designing and executing advocacy, issue management and marketing campaigns and with a range of public and private sector organizations, developing strategically-targeted multi-media entertainment-education products, and social mobilization campaigns.

Starting his career as a journalist in 1991, and after extensive experience Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) as General Manager Corporate Communication, and Director Marketing at Pakistan Television Corporation, Mr. Azhar took over the charge of COO CRS in 2008. He also publishes, as editor-in-chief, a quarterly magazine “Salam Pakistan” which aims to highlight positive Pakistani stories.

 

Nadeem Sarwar, Director

Nadeem Sarwar is a seasoned communication specialist with his core strength lying in strategic communication and Business networking. With a career spanned over 20 years Sarwar has proved to be a skilled manager with a very strong networking within the media organizations, that make him an asset for any media outlet. Having worked in media, PR and sports industries at senior positions he enjoys a 360-degree experience when it comes to media communication, operations, marketing and amplification. 

He is a born communicator with an innate ability to disseminate complex messaging with ease and effectiveness. Team building and team leading is his strongest point when it comes to delivery. He believes in leading from the front with complete hands on role. His successful stints at Pakistan Cricket Board and with the President of Pakistan have taken him in to a select league of professionals that have a strategic vision to manage complex and demanding portfolios with excellent proficiency.

 

Mehvish Yazdani, Assistant General Manager, Client Services

Mehvish has been with CRS for over 7 years, and holds a master's degree in Business Administration from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), in Islamabad. She specializes in project management, resource mobilization, team management and client servicing. Her most recent clients/projects include Philip Morris Pakistan Limited, MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas, Mari Gas Company, Ufone, PAIMAN, UNDP, BHC, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) and many others in her seven years at CRS. She has a portfolio of dozens of satisfied clients and tens off projects delivered in sync with timelines.

Mehvish sees the corporate clients of the company. She is at her best when she has to mobilise resources to complete a project. A tireless worker and motivator she is a team player who is quick to understand the needs of the client and delivery of the job in time.
